By car:
Lavethan is in the centre of Cornwall, fifty miles west of Exeter and just 10 minutes away from the A30. Turn off the A30 towards Blisland and drive through the village with the green on your right. At the end of the green, turn left down the narrow lane towards Merrymeeting. After a quarter mile, turn left through two stone gateposts into a tree-lined driveway. You have arrived.
By train:
The nearest station is Bodmin Parkway, which is 5 miles and a 20-minute taxi ride away from Lavethan. Trains take around 4 hours from London Paddington, Cardiff or Birmingham. Taxis can be booked through Parnells (01208 75000), which has 6-seater vehicles and a small minibus.
